Fisiotek 3000
This study has taken into consideration the model Fisiotek 3000 E, which has been tested and used for the recovery of the mobility after three cases of surgical intervention:
- Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
- Arthroplasty (application of a prosthesis for knee joint)
- Osteoarthritis (sinovectomy and partial endoprotesic replacement of the articular surface)

|
Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction
|
Patients
|
7 patients between 25 and 49 years old
|
Indications
|
·
Post-operative treatment after anterior cruciate ligament
|
Purpose
|
·
Recover
enough mobility
·
Reduction
of pain
·
Prevention
of embolism
|
Therapy
|
·
Beginning:
6 hours after the intervention
·
20°
- 60°, daily increase -6° and +8°
·
Duration: 12 hours (per day) of 60 minutes cycles alternate to 60
minutes of pause
·
Dosage of Condrosulf, 75 mg of Diclofenac and gastroprotective for the
softening of pain and cartilage breeding
·
Active
daily physiotherapy
·
Duration of the clinical treatment: 4 days post-operative
|
Results
|
It has been possible to discharge patients
after 5 days of hospital stay. At the moment of the discharge, the available
range of motion was 5° ÷ 85°. Generally, less analgesics have been dosed and
the hospital stay has been reduced of 1 day (compared with the other patients
immobilized after the intervention).

1.2
|
Arthroplasty
|
Patients
|
16 patients
|
Indications
|
·
Post-operative treatment after anterior cruciate ligament
|
Purpose
|
·
Recover enough mobility
·
Reduction of pain
·
Prevention of embolism
|
Therapy
|
·
Beginning: 10 hours after the intervention
·
5° - 40°, daily increase +10°
·
Duration: 16 hours (per day) of 60 minutes cycles alternate to 60
minutes of pause
·
Dosage of Condrosulf, 75 mg of Diclofenac and gastroprotective for the
softening of pain and cartilage breeding
·
Active daily physiotherapy
·
Duration of the clinical treatment: 5 days post-operative
|
Results
|
Patients have been discharged after 6 days of
hospital stay. At the moment of the discharge the range of mobility was 2° ÷
87°. Generally it has been dosed less analgesics and the hospital stay has
been reduced of 1,5 days (compared with the others patients immobilized after
the intervention).
|
1.3
|
Osteoarthritis
|
Patients
|
9 patients between 63 and 71 years old
|
Indications
|
·
Post-operative with osteoarthritis (sinovectomy and partial
endoprotesic replacement of the articular surface)
|
Purpose
|
·
Recover enough mobility
·
Reduction of pain
·
Prevention of embolism
|
Therapy
|
·
Beginning: 5 hours after the intervention
·
0° - 40°, daily increase +10°
·
Duration: 12 hours (per day) of 60 minutes cycles alternate to 60
minutes of pause
·
Dosage of Condrosulf, 75 mg of Diclofenac and gastroprotective for the
softening of pain and cartilage breeding
·
Active daily physiotherapy
·
Duration of the clinical treatment: 5 days post-operative
|
Results
|
Patients have been discharged after 6 days of
hospital stay. At the moment of the discharge the range of mobility was 2° ÷
95°
|
In all the three cases, the purposes have been to:
2) Reduce pain
3) Prevent embolism
Fisiotek 3000 E was revealed effective and simple to use for therapist and patients. The wide availability of programmable functions has been appreciated and recognized in particular clinical situations:
- Force control: it is adjustable between a range from 1 to 30 levels and permits an effective break-up of spasms;
- Programming of range of motion: the possibility to program
the range of motion by levels of 1° permits to customize the therapy for each
patient;
Taking into consideration all the three cases, the result of passive
rehabilitation has showed a significant improvement of the joint mobility and
smaller recourse to analgesics.
Furthermore, passive rehabilitation has shortened the period of stay at
the hospital.
